MAZDA'S SAFETY PHILOSOPHY
Mazda aims to offer all our customers both driving pleasure and outstanding environmental and safety performance. Based on this philosophy, Mazda is bolstering its safety research and development in order to accomplish our ultimate goal; the realization of a safe, accident-free automotive society.
i-ACTIVSENSE®
An active approach to safety, i-Activsense® uses milliwave radars and cameras to keep you in tune with your surroundings. While keeping you focused on the road. Get maximum confidence and enjoyment out of your drive knowing these available systems are constantly working to alert you to potential hazards, avert collisions, or reduce their severity when one is unavoidable. It's another example of our Jinba Ittai philosophy of creating oneness between car and driver.

I-Activ AWD®
Our predictive i-Activ AWD® system delivers traction and confidence on every type of road surface and in every type of weather. When equipped, information from multiple data points measuring road conditions and driving inputs is used to predict the need for AWD and adjust power delivery accordingly.

SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS with G-Vectoring Control
At Mazda, we're in constant pursuit of making driving better. That's why we developed a new technology, Skyactiv-Vehicle Dynamics with G-Vectoring Control, to help achieve a smoother, less fatiguing drive. Elevating your confidence and state of being through a heightened driving experience.
START OF A TURN
As the driver begins to turn, Skyactiv-Vehicle Dynamics with G-Vectoring Control improves cornering response by reducing engine torque and shifting the load to the front wheels.
Middle of a turn
At this point, the technology detects the drivers steering operation. It then calculates optimal engine torque and quickly sends that information to the engine.
END OF A TURN
Toward the end of a turn, the technology assists the driver in maintaining steering position by recovering engine torque and shifting the load to the rear wheels. This process helps improve overall cornering stability.
